Chicago has been looking great keeping up their consistency from last season. They are currently looking for a 2nd attempt at Lord Stanley's trophy. They have built a great organization in keeping theyre main key pieces to maintain this incredible streak. Hearing that they may move Hossa Kulemin and Seabrook by Deadline. Keep a close watch for a potential blockbuster nearing.
2.
Washington the Eastern Champions look to move into 1st place in the league by over-powering one of their rivals and The Cup champions. Washington did lose out to the Hawks in 2012 but they still kept their heads up and are still moving forward as a team to beat in this competition. Hearing that Russian offensive threat Evgeni Malkin might be available if Washington can improve some of their other positions which they have less strength on.
3.
The Flyers GM Mehdi has been all over the place. Took a great team and made it even better. After a big loss and disaapointing run for the cup in 2012, they are still a top team. Medhi did have intentions to rebuild his team after this loss but then realized, the chemistry was starting to pick up. This is why are one of the top team in the Eastern Conference and in the League. A good young team with determination a will, they may even be a threat in the Playoffs. (If Mehdi doesnt change his mind yet again)
4.
Those big bad Bruins are consistently being bad. They have severe 2 way forwards up front in rising star James Van Riemsdyk, Ryan Getzlaf and many more. Their defence is arguably one of the best in the league but with the recent injuries of 4 of their core players, expect them to sweat to keep this position if they want to stay in this run.
5.
A quiet team at the moment but a big threat offensivly as they have many players with size and grit. This will be a huge a advantage comes playoffs, they have leadership, youth injections and a balance of almost everything.
6.
GM Jman has been approached by several yeams as he too has a powerhouse. Being the 3rd team in the West and failing to get past several rounds in the playoffs. They made a massive trade by acquiring Goaltender Allstar Carey Price. This will be a huge confidecne boost to his teammates and when asked about by several teams if he would ever move Price, Jman responded " I gave up a lot for this kid, he's young, talented and has a bright future ahead of him. I think he may have a long career in the City of Lights, it would take a very special offer and almost an overpayment to get this kid off my hands"
7.
4th team in the East has been slipping down the standings slowly, he may need to make a few minor tweaks as team under them are very hungry to move up.
8.
Recently shopping Center Eric Staal, they are looking to balance all their positons at the price of one Allstar to hopefully get a good balance and prepare themselves for a goo cup run.
9.
The newly reloacted Winnipeg Jets have made some moves bringing in Lars Eller who right now is a 3rd line threat and if he proves his worth, may even earn his place on the 2nd line. We are confirming that Evander Kane has been placed on the block as their GM is "opening all of his options" (GM_
) Look for them to ssibly acquire a top 6 forward or 2 for him and a good top end defender.

The stars have been on a streak having one of the best PP in the league but are slowly slipping in the standings. They currently sit 4th in the West and that spot isn't still a guarantee as a key to the playoffs. They fell short last year losing to the Hawks in the 1st round but look for them to be making many more moves and active in the Trade Market. Hearing that they have Veteran Robidas, Goaltender Kari Lehtonen and possibly young gun Jamie Benn on the block. Not confirming these reports, simply just rumours.
11.
They have a good mix of everything, after letting go of Sid the Kid and Malkin, they received pieces that help their wings and their depth as well. Look for them to keep their spot and possibly move even higher.
12.
They have developped a strong league and have a good mix of PP material and PK material. Both very stable numbers as they dont fluctuate at all.
13.
Detroit also known for their Hidden Gems in draft history, are now struggling and looking to trade for offence. They have good defencmen and decent forwards, but the wings is what is keeping this team from climbing up in the standings. Look for them to make some big moves at the Trade Deadline.
14.
Phoenix has been shopping some of their star players and the biggest one that everyone is inclined to make an offer on is Bobby Ryan. One of the biggest names on the Trade Market right now. The GM is currently looking to fix up some positions where he lacks to most talent / depth he is also thinking about his future demading for at least a 1st + 2 roster players going his way.
15.
The Islanders were thinking of taking a different approach by possibly rebuilding but they decided to trade Carey Price and help their team now and got some good pieces for the future. A win-win situation for the franchise.
16.
The sabres are on a tight leash, with cap space as a possible issue and players who are expected to produce not producing as well, Buffalo is having a harder time staying in a comfortable Playoff position. They need to make some changes if they want a competitive and stable chance.
17.
The oilers would have been expected to be a lower team, but even with a team full of youth, they are still able to keep a decent spot. They are calculated to finish around 14th overall if they keep this pace. With a team full of youth, this is very impressive.
18.
The devils are constantly trying to build on their defence and don't mind adding to their offence. They have decided to keep their star forward Zach Parise unless the GM Zach receives an irrefutable offer. With the acquisition of John Michael Liles, we should expect the devil's PP to increase to their advantage.
19.
The predators ended up Trading their core defenceman Shea Weber. We can see their PP is taking a slight turn for the worst as they could use these extra goals and extra size to their advantage and collect these golden oppurtunities.
20.
Expect Minessota to possibly enter a rebuilding phase and collect a few picks or prospects. I think the time is near to execute a full rebuild.
21.
After trading Spezza and Erik Karlsson, the Sens have lost some hope on their PP. They did hower acquire Alex Edler and could very well become their captain very soon. He demostrates a good heart feld game rythm and both a defensive and offensive aspect to the game. Also Jakub Voracek seems to turning into the better version of the Spezza that they lost. Look for him to stay with the club a long time and hopefully become one of their franchise pieces in a season or 2.
22.
The Ducks have had their "Mightiness" removed from their title. The traded away their big three and received an upgrade on goaltending and help out other positions in need. They are currently trying to get Bobby Ryan back as a duck but can they really pull it off? Would Ryan want to return to The Honda Center? So far, I am hearing they may be the front runners to bring him back.
23.
The Canucks went from Heros to Zeros. They had a team that had slight positions to fill and not much work to do with it. The previous GM (got fired / left his post) was trying to enter a rebuild if I understood correctly, or was it get younger? Either way they turned a complete Playoff threat into a a Playoff wisher.
24.
The panthers, decided to rebuild last season, They brought up huberdeau and signed girgensons to ELC and are slowly getting back on track and building a decent team. With the injuries or their star defender, Dmitri Kulikov, and the trading of Keaton Ellerby for a 1st, things are hard. The GM has decided to take a different turn and turn all these youthful pieces into depth players by acquiring Lupul, Kyle Cumiskey and RJ Umberger. Watch out for their youth pieces as they are just about to get much better
25. CBJ
Kind of quiet for this GM, had probable intentions of trading away rick nash but decided to keep him and go forward. He must make up his mind whether to go back to the drawing board and restart the team completly or just be wise to turn his usable players, picks or spects into depth players or potential franchise players.
26.
There is a lot of thunder and lightning down in Florida as they have decided to keep their main piece on offence and defence being Steven Stamkos and Victor Hedman. When asked if he would move either he responded " We need to think about our future, our present isn't so bright at the moment but with a bit of work and determination, we will become a success in a few season. Mark these words. These 2 players are our main reasons why we aren't lower"
27.
I honestly am puzzled why
is where they are, they have a decent team with leadership. It see,s they may need a goaltender upgrade and some more grit on their bottom 6. Their Defence can use a slight tweak as well.
28.
The Canadiens. 24 Stanley cups. This glory won't come anytime soon. They decided to trade away ALL their core pieces except for Young gun PK subban and collected and stacked on the draft picks for 2012. They have increased their D by drafting Ryan Murray, their offence will be a threat in a few seasons by signing couture and drafting nail yakupov. They also drafted brothers on the same team. The Subbans. Malcolm has had lots of talk, some say he has been compared to a Kelly Hrudley or even a Cujo. He may become the Martin Brodeur of his time possibly beating records and creating new ones.
29.
We are hearing reports that
may or not have a new GM, there has been news that Iginla may have been traded if they received a new GM but this is not finalized yet. If this is the case,
should keep their Defencmen work on a new goaltender and possibly enter a full rebuild. If they don't, they will be in this position for a long time.
